rip curl girl is retro surf to the core

Curl is a company for and about the Crew on The Search. What does that mean? Well, simply stated, it is the quest to be at he forefront of research, development and technology in surfing. With over 30 years of business behind them and still growing, Rip Curl has managed to do just that.

Moving into 2007, Rip Curl Girl’s latest campaign, “My Search”, reflects freedom, adventure, friendship and time for living. Today’s Rip Curl Girl is independent, sassy and desires both retro AND cool.

Combining fashion pieces with surf gear, Rip Curl has designed a full-scale collection of swimwear, board shorts, dresses, tees and accessories especially for today’s stylish enthusiast. Relaxed and confident, Rip Curl Girl offers an alluring selection of mix-and-match pieces. The premise behind the collection is to provide affordable style that fits into an active girl’s lifestyle without compromise.

Retro Fit, a limited edition twelve-piece collection by Rip Curl Girl, is based on the initial girls line established in the 1980’s. Featured items include the Radical Surf Pack and the Rip It Pullover S/S Crewneck. Both the Retro Fit and complete Spring/Summer 2007 will be featured at the ASR Show in January 2007.

Caroline Rothwell, President of Caro Marketing, a public relations and marketing firm based in Los Angeles, has just signed Rip Curl as a new client.

Rip Curl Girl, www.ripcurl.com, is currently available at the Santa Monica Flagship, Rip Curl Honolulu, Santa Cruz Surf Shop, and Rip Curl Orlando.

What has the fashion industry done to "Pay it Forward"?

Acknowledging those in the apparel and beauty industries who ‘give back’ to various charities throughout the year, the goal of “Pay it Forward” is to showcase just how much an industry can do. Our hope is that by building awareness it will motivate and propel others to do the same. Whether donating time or money, every contribution helps.

Caro Marketing, a marketing and public relations company based in Los Angeles created and organized the event that took place at Mood Nightclub. Models strutted down the runway, in the theme of the INXS video ‘Need You Tonight’ flipping impactful signs explaining what the fashion industry is doing to “Pay it Forward”. Celebrities in attendance included host Josh Henderson, Matt LeBlanc, and Shanna Moakler. Santa Claus was even in attendance taking photos with attendees while raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Raffle tickets were sold throughout the evening and all proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. The winner of the raffle received a gift bag filled with fashion and beauty products from companies that ‘give back’ in some way and valued at over $1000. Some of the brands were Whiteboy, History, Rip Curl, Tanja D. Jewelry, Invisible Children, Jacqua Beauty, Apparel Agents, Toms Shoes and Fidelity Denim.

Jaqua's Pink Coral Casino Kit, Beauty Bakery and Peaches & Creme Kits are wonderfully exotic and relaxing destinations for body, mind and spirit. Jaqua invites all who need rejuvenation and transformation to enter, unwind and escape with their decadent scents of Pink Champagne, Pina Colada, Passionfruit Cocktail, Mint Chocolate, Peach Parfait and Buttercream Frosting in hydrating Shower Syrups, Luscious Lotions and Exfoliating Body Polishes!

History “I gave it up for Rockworks” t-shirt is an exclusive collection that is currently owned by only top actors and musicians. All proceeds of the sales go directly to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Their partner on this shirt was Rockworks Charity whose celebrity backing includes Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, and Wyclef Jean.

Whiteboy teamed with Oscar nominee, Don Cheadle on the creation of “American Refugee” which has sold out in Fred Segal. Don noticed that the media kept throwing around the term refugee and realized that the survivors of Katrina became the American Refugees since they had to move about.

Tanja. D Jewelry is a brand new line from Croatia. Each hand-made piece is completely original and the only one of its kind! The winner received “Santa’s Little Helper”, a necklace made up of various semi-precious stones set into a small flower shaped pendant.

Toms Shoes donated 10,000 pairs to children in need in Argentina. Tom’s shoes have an easy formula -- you buy a pair of TOMS and the company gives a pair to a child on your behalf.

Rip Curl, an authentic surf brand that is also active in snowboarding, and wakeboarding donates money to protect the California Coastline.

Apparel Agents are a vertical manufacturer which means they mill their own fabric, dye it, design it as well as cut and sew it. All of this takes place right here in the USA. They donated $225,000 worth of product to GIRLS, INC.

Fidelity Denim began its own “Fidelity Indigo Foundation” This foundation will be collecting funds and raising awareness for charitable organizations that deal with issues pertaining to women through the sale and promotion of special products from Fidelity.

Invisiblechildren.org began the Bracelet Campaign which funds women and children in war-torn areas of North Uganda.
